The original street light agreement was drafted in May 2005 between the developer, DKEA and the City of Rapid City. It remained in effect until August of 2017. In August of 2017 DKEA withdrew from the agreement with the City of Rapid City but continued to maintain the streetlights. The HOA was not responsible for any maintenance.
In October of 2022 a new agreement was drafted for the maintenance of the streetlights to Red Rock Meadows Homeowners’ Association. In February of 2023 a new agreement between the City of Rapid City and Red Rock Meadows Homeowners’ Association was signed by the mayor of Rapid City and the President of RRMHOA. From that date forward Red Rock Meadows Homeowners’ Association assumed the maintenance of the streetlights in the development.
